TranslateTDSB Field Services has scheduled our School’s network upgrade on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. They will perform activities that include installing new network equipment, changing IP addresses, testing the new equipment and network, decommissioning the previous equipment and network, and updating documentation to reflect the changes.
Although Field Services does not anticipate it will take a full day to perform the change from the current network over to the new Bell network, they must allocate a full day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to perform the work.
On Tuesday, January 9th, the scheduled implementation day of the new Bell network, there will be no wired and wireless (Wi-Fi) network access to services including but not limited to:
· Internet access and all applications accessible from the Internet
· Home Drives
· Shared Drives
· All AW sites, ServiceIT, myINFO, GAfE, Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Hangouts, and Sheets, Chromebook/Chromebox access
· Trillium School Information System (SIS)
· All SAP Systems
· SharePoint (org sites)
· Outlook Web Access (OWA)
· TDSB Print services
· VPN services
If all the activities are completed ahead of the plan outage window, the school will begin enjoying the new Bell network immediately.
