Hello Essex & Hawthorne Chess Club parents!
We are excited to be launching chess club at Essex/Hawthorne Tuesday, January 15th at lunchtime. Chess club will run on Tuesdays in the library for 10 weeks until March 26th, skipping March 12 for March Break.
The chess club leader will collect students from the lunchroom and bring them to chess club. Please remind your young chess player to look for the chess club leader on Tuesdays while they are eating lunch.
It’s going to be a great season of chess skill building and life skills development at Essex/Hawthorne.
If you have any questions or comments about chess club, please do not hesitate to contact me.
