Essex Students Shine!
Our students have amazed us in the last few years by creating incredible Eco school initiatives. Our students have built and named the Wildwood forest improving our yard and showing us their creative spirit!
Our students shine on stage in The Wizard of Oz, music concerts, and graduations!
Our students are involved in so many creative and fun projects there are too many to name!
Essex School is Special!
We have diverse, creative, and caring students!
We have dedicated and fun teachers!
We are lucky enough to share our school lives with kids in Kindergarten all the way to Grade 8!
Essex is a community school with Spirit – and we need to Celebrate!
Last year at the Spring Fling we celebrated another fun and successful year showing off our school spirit!
So let’s continue to celebrate by wear our Essex Spirit Wear with PRIDE!
We have a beautiful collection of cozy sweats, soft t-shirts, and fun bags.
The money spent on our Spirit wear goes right back into our school to provide additional funding for our students classroom activities, assemblies, and special activities.

From Essex Parent Council.
Essex is in the process of organizing the Roots of Empathy program at the school.
The program involves a Family Volunteer with one or both parents that will be available to visit with their baby at the school throughout the year. The baby is between 2 to 4 months old at the start of the program this fall.
An instructor will liaise with the potential family volunteer. This volunteer opportunity requires the family to make a commitment and work with the instructor through the school year.
Please visit the link for more information: http://rootsofempathy.org
Please contact the Principal at Essex P.S. (416-393-0710) if you would like to volunteer for this initiative.
Thank you
There will be work done on the windows outside Exit #10, tomorrow, Friday, September 14th.
The area will be closed-off for exit and entry.
However, the access to the Kindergarten playground will still be accessible.
Please use Exit #9 for exit and entry
Apologies for the short notice – just received the information now.
