A local charity, Ripple Clothes for Kids, wants to outfit 1000 Toronto area babies and children with quality snowsuits. They aim to help kids enjoy their morning recess, rather than shivering and counting the minutes until it’s over. They hope new moms can safely take their babies out to their doctor’s appointments even on a cold January morning.
Here’s how you can pitch in:
Beginning November 17th – December 1st – Donate your kids’ hand-me-down snowsuits
- We ARE looking for winter jackets, snow pants and one-piece snowsuits in excellent or very good condition (no rips or stains) sizes newborn to 16
- Sorry, we CANNOT accept: boots, mittens, hats, other children’s clothing or adult winter wear
- Please wash donated items, bag them in clear plastic bags and label the bag by size and gender
- There is a bin located in the front foyer to place your snowsuit.
Snowsuits will be distributed to Humewood House, North York Women’s Shelter, Hope for Children Fund (Catholic Children’s Aid Society), The Redwood, Rosalie Hall, Dr. Roz’s Healing Place, Nellie’s and Horizons for Youth, as well as students in our TDSB schools.
