A couple of significant administrative moves were approved on Wednesday, June 22 at the Toronto District School Board Meeting:
- As part of the TDSB Transfer, Promotion and Placement process, Principal Jim Stathopoulos will be transferring to Sprucecourt PS.His strength at relationship building along with his warm, caring way has been appreciated by the students, staff, parents and community. We will miss Mr. Stathopoulos and wish him the best in his new position with the Board.
- We are pleased to announce the promotion of Harry Quon to Principal of Essex JSPS and Hawthorne II Bilingual Alternative School. Mr. Quon comes to us from Market Lane JSPS and Downtown Alternative School where he has served as Vice-Principal. Mr. Quon has proven to be a well-respected leader with a passion for student success and well-being.
These moves of principals and vice-principals will be effective September 1, 2016.
