“On December 11, 2013 the Trustees of the Toronto District School Board approved a series of administrative moves as part of the Transfer, Promotion and Placement process. These moves of Principals and Vice Principals will be effective January 1, 2014.
We are pleased to announce the promotion of Sonia Antunes to Principal at Clinton Public School. Sonia has been devoted to Essex Public School and Hawthorne II Bilingual Alternative School. Her commitment to student success and advocacy for supporting all students, families and staff has had a positive effect on student achievement. Sonia’s hard work and thorough attention to detail have been appreciated by the Essex and Hawthorne school communities. Congratulations Sonia!
We are also pleased to announce the promotion of Natalie Patterson to Vice Principal at Essex Public School and Hawthorne II Bilingual Alternative School. Natalie is currently the Methods and Resource Teacher and the Gifted Core French teacher at King Edward Public School. Natalie has also taught French Immersion, Extended and Core French. Natalie assisted in the development of King Edward’s school improvement plan which had a school wide focus on literacy, resulting in increased EQAO scores and overall student achievement. We are confident that Natalie’s skills and knowledge will be an asset in the Essex and Hawthorne communities. Congratulations and welcome to Natalie Patterson.”
